The Nebraska soccer team made its first appearance in the Top 25 since 2005 on Tuesday.
The Huskers are ranked No. 23 in the NSCAA Division I Top 25.
“It’s an amazing accomplishment for this team and for this program,” senior midfielder Stacy Bartels said. “We’re ready to keep building toward our goal of becoming Big Ten champions and going to the NCAA tournament.”
The Huskers have used a six-game win streak to build an 8-2-1 record, which beats last year’s seven victories. NU is also 3-0 in the Big Ten and tied atop the standings with No. 7 Penn State. Other Big Ten teams in the poll include No. 18 Wisconsin and No. 21 Michigan. Ohio State is receiving votes.
Nebraska will host Iowa at 4 p.m. Thursday before hosting No. 21 Michigan at 1 p.m. Sunday.
