Nebraska forwards Jordan Hooper and Emily Cady and coach Connie Yori were named to the College Sports Madness preseason All-Big Ten teams Wednesday.
Hooper was a first-team All-Big Ten selection, while Cady claimed second-team honors. Yori, voted 2013 Big Ten Coach of the Year by the conference coaches, was named the 2014 preseason coach of the year.
Hooper, an Alliance, Neb., native, enters her senior season with 1,685 points, 811 rebounds and 215 career three-pointers while starting 98 consecutive games for the Huskers. Last season, Hooper averaged 17.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game while helping the Huskers (25-9, 12-4 Big Ten) to the Sweet 16.
Cady, a 6-foot-2 junior from Seward, Neb., averaged 9.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore.
Lincoln Southeast graduate KK Houser, a Purdue guard, was a third-team selection.
