Women’s soccer: UNO will honor seniors at first game at Caniglia

The UNO women’s soccer team will play its first game at Caniglia Field on Friday night and honor its six seniors.

The Mavericks host IUPUI at 7 p.m. in their first game played at night under the lights.

Monica Bosiljevac, Jordyn Braun, Melanie McCormick, Sarah Nordstrom, Kerry Pivovar and Logen Watts have been at UNO since their freshman seasons in 2010. They’ve combined to start 331 games and have a combined 22 goals and 15 assists.

McCormick leads the Mavs with four goals and an assist this season. Bosiljevac has three goals and three assists.

The Mavs (3-9-2, 1-4 Summit League) conclude the season against Western Illinois at noon Sunday.
