Scouting UNO: Senior guard Ericka House, preseason second-team All-Summit League, had 19 points in 30 minutes of last Saturday’s exhibition game with Division II Lincoln (Mo.), hitting 5 of 12 from 3-point range. … Junior center Taijhe Kelly had 14 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots in 20 minutes against the Blue Tigers. … Junior college transfer Lanese Bough had four points, seven rebounds, two assists and four steals against Lincoln. … Interim coach Brittany Lange, 26, makes her regular-season coaching debut. She’s been an assistant the past two seasons. … House scored 17 points while making 5 of 7 from 3 in last year’s 79-67 win over Louisiana-Lafayette in Omaha. … The Mavs stay in the Deep South, playing Sunday at Alcorn State.

Scouting Louisiana-Lafayette: Ragin’ Cajuns breezed to a 103-27 exhibition win Monday over former Summit League (but currently Division III) team Centenary. Louisiana (its preferred name) also beat Loyola (La.) 77-65 in an exhibition. … Forwards Ashley Benjamin (21) and Jasmin Mills (18) combined for 39 points against Centenary. … Louisiana was picked to finish seventh in the 10-team Sun Belt Conference’s preseason coaches poll after going 10-21 overall and 3-17 in the Sun Belt last season. … Sophomore Keke Veal was a preseason second-team All-Sun Belt pick after averaging 13.1 points per game as a freshman. … Sylvana Okde, who averaged 10.2 points per game last year, scored 20 in the loss to UNO. … Ragin’ Cajuns won the first meeting between the teams 62-60 on Feb. 20, 2012.
