Scouting UAPB: The Golden Lions are 1-4, but losses have come to Marquette, Iowa, Xavier and No. 11 Nebraska. Marquette and Iowa are just outside the Top 25. … UAPB built an 11-point lead in the first half last year in a home game against UNO and led by nine at halftime. After falling behind by seven in the second half, the Golden Lions rallied, took a one-point lead, tied the game with 1:09 left, but then surrendered the final four points in a 67-63 defeat. … Golden Lions are preseason pick to finish sixth in the 10-team Southwestern Athletic Conference. Alcorn State, picked last, beat UNO 50-45 on Nov. 10. … Carlisha Walker averages 8.6 points and a team-high 6.8 rebounds off the bench. … Destiny Ham averages a team-best 2.6 assists off the bench.

Scouting UNO: Transfer Brianna Bogard, who scored 29 points in UNO’s season opener and is second on the team with a scoring average of 12.5, is out for the season with a knee injury suffered in Monday’s win over Chicago State. … UNO is down to nine healthy players, five of whom are freshmen. … In two starts, freshman point guard Robson has 19 assists and one turnover in 65 minutes, and for the season leads the Summit League with 23 assists. As a starter she averages 6.5 points, 9.5 assists and 2.5 steals. … House is third in the Summit League with an average of 14.8 points per game. House scored 15 points last year in UNO’s 67-63 win at UAPB. … Shaw averages a team-best 8.8 rebounds.
