Pregame: Huskers looking for another November win
Rich Kaipust Omaha World-Herald

Nebraska will be trying to repeat some of its November success under head coach Bo Pelini when it kicks off at 2:30 p.m. CST here at Beaver Stadium.

NU was 18-4 in November games with Pelini before the 41-28 loss last Saturday against Michigan State.

During Pelini’s six-season tenure, however, this is the first November road game where the Huskers are eliminated from the Legends Division race before kickoff.

Some other pregame notes:

>> Nebraska traveled with all of its usual offensive linemen except Mike Moudy (shoulder). How much Jeremiah Sirles, Cole Pensick and Jake Cotton remains unknown.

NU brought redshirt freshman Corey Whitaker, making 13 the highest number of linemen for a trip.

>> True freshman quarterback Johnny Stanton made his first road trip as a Husker.

>> Junior receiver Jamal Turner returned to the Huskers’ travel roster after not going to Michigan. Alonzo Moore did not make the trip.

>> Junior safety Harvey Jackson did not make the trip to State College.

>> I-back Ameer Abdullah could move up to No. 7 on the NU single-season rushing chart and No. 13 on the all-time list with another 100-yard game. The junior has reached 100 yards in nine of 10 games so far.
