Nebraska defensive end Avery Moss will not face a bench trial Tuesday in Lancaster County Court on charges that he exposed himself to a University of Nebraska-Lincoln convenience store worker. Moss will instead attend a Dec. 31, 2013 hearing for a “disposition without trial,” which points to Moss entering a plea.
Moss is facing charges of public indecency and disturbing the peace that stemmed from a December 2012 incident in which he allegedly exposed his genitals twice to the worker. Moss also faced a failure to appear charge for missing a previous court date.
The redshirt freshman has enjoyed a strong year for the Huskers. Moss has 35 tackles, eight tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and an interception return for a touchdown in the Northwestern game.
