Jordan Bachynski had his sixth straight double-double and swatted Derrick Wilson’s runner at the buzzer for his seventh block, helping Arizona State knock off No. 25 Marquette. The Sun Devils face Creighton on Thursday.

Xavier 93, Abilene Christian 65
Matt Stainbrook led Xavier’s dominant inside game, and Myles Davis made 5 of his 7 shots from beyond the arc Monday night, helping Xavier pull away to a win over Abilene Christian.

Dez Wells split a pair of Providence defenders for a running hook shot with 1:04 left and added a pair of clutch free throws as Maryland held off a furious comeback attempt by the Friars to claim the 2013 Paradise Jam tournament championship Monday night.

Led by 21 points from Ron Baker and 17 from Tekele Cotton, the No. 12 Shockers used a big first-half run to seize control. Wichita State coasted over the final 20 minutes to a win in the semifinals of the CBE Classic.
