Scouting Western Illinois: Preseason All-Summit League forward Ashley Luke leads the Leathernecks with averages of 19.3 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.1 blocked shots. She ranks among the top 50 nationally in scoring and rebounding. Luke, who redshirted her freshman year at Wisconsin-Green Bay, has 11 double-doubles. … Western Illinois leads the Summit League in scoring (82.5 points per game), assists (19.5) and steals (10.4). … Rebecca Henricson is among the national top 10 in assist-to-turnover ratio, at 3.7 to 1. She leads the team with 5.5 assists per game and leads all active Summit players in career assists. …
Two of the Leathernecks’ losses were to Oklahoma and Missouri.

Scouting UNO: Heading into the Summit opener, the Mavs lead the league in opponent field goal percentage (.352), opponent 3-point percentage (.259) and blocked shots (5.2 per game). … Taijhe Kelly leads the league and is tied for fifth among Division I players with an average of 3.6 blocks per game, and ranks second in the Summit with 7.3 rebounds per game. Kelly, who has had at least 10 rebounds in four straight games, had 10 points, 13 rebounds and a school-record tying seven blocked shots in UNO’s 63-55 win over Western Illinois last February in Omaha. … Ericka House and Felicia Anderson rank 1-2 in the Summit in made 3-pointers per game at 3.1 and 2.5, respectively. House, third in the league in scoring at 18 points per game, has scored in double figures in 13 straight games.
