Recruiting: Terrell Clinkscales decommits from Nebraska, flips to Kansas State

Nebraska’s 2014 recruiting class was dealt a major blow Sunday when Dodge City (Kan.) Community College defensive tackle Terrell Clinkscales — rated the No. 1 junior college defensive tackle by one service — decommitted from Nebraska to Kansas State.

What does “love” mean? That’ll be a question going forward.

Clinkscales tweeted “Dont get mad at me get mad at your coaches” just after 5 p.m. He has since deleted the tweet.

When he committed to Nebraska in December, Clinkscales credited Husker coach Bo Pelini’s passion for helping clinch his decision.

“Man, Coach Bo is going to fight to the death for his team,” Clinkscales said at the time. “He doesn’t take any BS.”

The World-Herald has texted and called Clinkscales, who’s generally been good about getting back. If we hear anything, we’ll let you know.

Clinkscales would have competed for immediate playing time on Nebraska’s interior line.

Nebraska is down to 18 commitments for the class of 2014.
