Nebraska football will have at least one top 100 prospect in its 2014 recruiting class.
Tanner Farmer, the 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive line prospect from Highland, Ill. — probably a guard at NU — is rated as the No. 82 overall player in the Rivals 100. He went from outside Rivals’ Top 250 to No. 82 after a dominant week of practice at the Under Armour All-America Game. Farmer is rated a four-star by 247Sports and ESPN. Scout has him rated as a three-star, but I envision that changing in Scout’s final assessment.
Farmer and Lincoln Southeast guard D.J. Foster comprise one of the best interior line duos of any recruiting class. It should be interesting to see how quickly both players can earn time.
(Note: Farmer told Big Red Report during the week of Under Armour practices he weighed 280 pounds, so that’s the weight we’re listing.)
