Friday was a rough night for┬áthree of the state’s highly regarded teams.

No. 2 Omaha South, lost by 10 at home to Omaha Creighton Prep.

No. 3 Omaha Benson, with Khyri Thomas playing for the first time since breaking a bone in his left foot in late December, lost by 10 at No. 5 Bellevue West.

No. 4 Norfolk, lost in OT at No. 9 Lincoln Southeast.

What’s in store Saturday night? Norfolk hosts Bellevue West for starters. No. 6 Omaha Burke goes to Fremont, never an easy place for visitors. And Benson must regroup with its first visit to Grand Island since 1952.
