Scouting IUPUI: Jaguars have won five straight games since opening Summit League play with a six-point loss at perennial league champ South Dakota State. IUPUI is ranked No. 107 by realtimerpi.com, while UNO is No. 333. Five of Jaguars’ six losses have come to teams ranked in the top 76: Purdue (9), East Carolina (76), Indiana (39), Northwestern (54) and South Dakota State (46). Their best win was against No. 113 Indiana State. … DeAirra Goss, second-team All-Summit last season and a preseason all-league pick, is eighth in the league in scoring (13.7 points per game). … Nicole Rogers is fourth in the league with an average of 2.3 made 3s per game. … IUPUI leads the league in allowing just 60.6 points a game and ranks second by forcing an average of 19.2 turnovers.

Scouting UNO: UNO has lost four straight games and six of seven. … Freshman Sami Pawlak made her first start Thursday against IPFW and had 11 points, seven rebounds and a team-high three assists. She’s averaging 10 points and 5.5 rebounds in 22 minutes over her last two games after averaging 3.0 points and 2.1 rebounds in 10.3 minutes in the previous seven games. For the season, the 6-footer from Geneva, Ill., is averaging 5.8 points and 4.3 rebounds. … Pawlak replaced Taijhe Kelly in the lineup, ending the 6-4 junior’s streak of consecutive starts at 43 games. Kelly had nine points, six rebounds and four blocked shots off the bench, and continues to rank among the Summit’s leading rebounders (third at 7.0 per game) and the country’s leading shot blockers (3.2). … After Saturday, five of the Mavericks’ remaining seven Summit games are on the road.
