2015 cornerback Eric Lee has liked Nebraska’s football program for some time. He camped at NU over the summer. He attended a game. And he went to the Huskers’ Junior Day Saturday, becoming the first official commit for the Huskers’ 2015 class.
A four-star athlete out of Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Valor Christian High School, Lee has been the Huskers’ top corner target for the 2015 class. Through 12 games last year, Lee had 41 tackles and two interceptions. He also had a top-of-the-line position coach: Former NFL safety Brian Dawkins, whose son, Brian Dawkins, Jr., plays for Valor Christian.
Lee’s father, Dr. Eric Lee, played college football at Wayne State and later received a doctorate degree at UNL. He’s now the executive director of Colorado Community College Online, but his son, Eric Lee, grew up a Nebraska fan.
“Being able to put on that Nebraska jersey for the first time sealed the deal for me and how I feel about the university,” Lee told Big Red Report. Scout ranks Lee the No. 84 overall prospect for 2015. Rivals ranks Lee No. 114 overall. 247 Sports rates him No. 137. ESPN ranks Lee at No. 217.
